Black Woods Farm Alpacas is a full-time, family run farm, established in 2004. We are located in Cherryfield, an historic town situated half way between Ellsworth and Machias in Downeast, Maine.
Above all, we are committed to raising healthy, happy huacaya alpacas. We carefully chose our breedings to produce alpacas with a diverse range of colors, correct confirmation, quality fiber, and magnetic personalities .
Our on-sight Farm Store is open year round and specializes in luxurious alpaca merchandise. We feature yarn from our herd, both mill spun and handspun. We also offer unique hand made items such as hand felted soaps, hand knit scarves and baby items. In addition, the store is filled with socks, hats, gloves, mittens, vests, sweaters, blankets and various other alpaca products to warm your heart and soul.
